Having a website is always recommended! It's a great way to link to your social media, have a gallery for con applications, and list your commission information.
Be sure to buy a domain name first ASAP!
Note that some shop platforms listed in the next section also include the option to add on pages to make a full website!
Free Options:
https://sites.google.com (this site is made using Google sites!)
Paid Options:
https://wordpress.org/ (free, but you need to pay for your own hosting)
Dealer/Artist WordPress theme: https://shop.deguweb.dev
Hosting Suggestions: https://www.hostkoala.com/, https://www.a2hosting.com/
Free Options: Any fees are after a sale, not before.
Paid Options: Has fees/costs before any sales.
Make sure you use your Share & Save url! Replace www.etsy.com/shop/yourshop with yourshop.etsy.com in all links you share to your socials (main shop and products)!
List of recommended apps
Note there is also the Shopify Starter plan which is only $5 a month. It has less options, but still a working online store! Shopify Starter plugin for WordPress: https://shop.deguweb.dev
There are other options listed in the spreadsheet above that I don't particularly recommend.
Print-on-Demand: Don't want to deal with packing and shipping? Free to list your items, fees or payouts only when you make a sale.
https://acggoods.com/ (acrylics, buttons, stickers, and more)
https://www.teepublic.com/ (apparel and more)
Once you setup a TeePublic store, you can also get a branded store called "Dashery" (products sync between the two). Check your account settings for this feature!
https://fourthwall.com/ (apparel and more)
https://www.printful.com/ (apparel and more)
https://www.inprnt.com/ (prints)
https://www.blurb.com/ (books and magazines)
https://www.thegamecrafter.com/ (games)
https://www.redbubble.com/ (apparel and more)
Note that RedBubble changed their payout structure, so you may receive significantly less than they previously advertised. We highly recommend TeePublic over Redbubble in terms of payment amounts.
